The distinctive elegance and artisanal craftsmanship that has defined Breguet timepieces for more than 150 years is gloriously continued in the Breguet Classique Ref. 7337 watch which debuted at Baselworld 2009. A spiritual successor to the Ref. 3330, itself modeled after an original Breguet pocket watch kept in the Breguet museum in Paris, this new reference presents an updated case diameter entirely in tune with modern preferences, as well as an indication for subsidiary seconds added to those of the day, the date, and phases of the moon.
The Breguet Classique Ref. 7337 watch is available in a choice of 18-karat yellow or white gold. Cases measure 39mm in diameter and reflect the characteristic purity and elegance of Classique collection; the band of the case displays a fine vertically fluted pattern, and the soldered lugs feature a screwed gold strap bar. The silvered gold dials present four intricate engine turned patterns, each the result of a skilled guillocheur painstakingly executing their meticulous craft on a traditional rose engine. The off-centered time display features applied gold cabochons at the Roman numeral hour markers, and lustrous blued steel Pomme hands whose form have become a virtual signature of the manufacturer Breguet.
The impressively slim 502 caliber animates the Breguet Ref. 7337 timepiece. Meticulously decorated by the Breguet artisans, this refined self-winding movement features a gold central rotor decorated with a hobnail guilloche pattern. Balance frequency is 21,600 vibrations per hour and power reserve is approximately 46 hours. Adjustments to the calendar and moon phase are carried out via corrector buttons on the caseband.
Each Breguet Classique Ref. 7737 watch is completed by a strap in hand-sewn crocodile leather, and a buckle in white or yellow gold. The timepiece features sapphire crystals on front and back, and is water resistant to 30 meters.
